I came to England in 1973, a year before the war. I went back to my village once, a few years ago on a organised trip. I found the experience very difficult. I was excited at seeing all the important places that were part of my life, but I felt extremely extremely sad. It used to be home but it isn't now. Home is where you make it and its been England for nearly 30 years. I have family, work and networks here now. I wouldn't go back as it would never be the same.

The two objects are craft wooden ornaments. I made the table at woodcraft at school in the 1960s. the Shield was given to me when I was a boy and scored 2 goals in a football match. I don't have many possessions from the village so these mean a lot to me.
