Ming Wong is a third generation Chinese Singaporean. He was born and bred in Singapore, and was raised on a diet of BBC radio, American sitcoms, Hong Kong melodramas and Bollywood movies. He trained in Chinese art and wrote plays for the theatre in Singapore before relocating to the UK 1996. After graduating form Slade School of Art in 1999 exploring fine art media, he settled in London and began working with conventions in drama and visual art from a multicultural perspective.

The stills of "Honeymoon” are from a staged wedding in London Chinatown where one groom is celebrating his marriage to an English bride and a Chinese bride concurrently, though each of their worlds is in constant flux.
